Victor Joseph Kamara working at National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), as Health Economist, has been duped by one Samuel Hans Kawa seventy five million Leones for two town plot of land.
The accused person is on the run since he was granted one hundred and fifty million Leones bail plus two sureties. The accused Samuel was supposed to appear on Monday 17th January 2022, before Magistrate Alpha Rashid Jalloh of Pademba Road Court No 4 to stand his trial but failed to do so.
The accused is charged with a count of obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916. According to the charge sheet, the accused Samuel Hans Kawa on Sunday 4th February 2018, at No. 6 Hans Kawa Drive Spur Road, Freetown, obtained the sum of seventy five million Leones from Victor Joseph Kamara Health Economist at NASSIT by falsely pretending that he has two town plot of land for sale knowing to be false.
The accused is on the run, matter adjourned to the 23rd January 2022.
