42yrs old Fuad Sankoh a businessman made another appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges ranging from Obtaining money by false pretences contrary to section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916

According to the particulars of offence on diverse dates between the 1st to 31st August 2022 at Makeni the Northern Province of Freetown with intent to defraud obtained the sum of fifteen million, nine hundred thousand Leones(15,900,000) from Patricia Faya by Falsely pretending that you will facilitate her travelling from Canada for Job opportunities, knowing same to be false on count two at the same place and date the accused person with the intent to defraud obtained the sum of four million Leones(4,000,000) from Osman Santos Tarawally by falsely pretending that you will facilitate his travelling to Canada for Job opportunities knowing same to be false

The charges were read and explained to the accused person and he pleaded not guilty

Counsel representing the accused A.R Kargbo applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that the accused person Is a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction he will not interfere with prosecution witnesses or witnesses he has a fixed abode has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on his behalf he made his application under section 79 2 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965

However, Magistrate Ngegba granted the accused person bail for fifty million Leones with one surety in like sum surety must be employed from a recognize institution in Sierra Leone bail to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar Matter adjourned to the 17th October 2022 Assistant Superintendent of police Christiana Davies Cole ESQ Prosecuting the matter
