Parents who reported late for admission have piled pressure on the Principal of the Bo School, Edward Kapkra to admit their children who got the Government passing Mark in the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Some parents on the corridors of the Administrative building of the school were in an angry mood when the principal informed them that admission has been closed at the Bo School.

The disgruntle Parents said that Bo School was the school of choice for their children and from the mere fact their children got good result in the BECE he is bound to admit them.

Addressing the parents, the Bo School Principal admitted that a lot of pupils passed to get admission but they do not meet the departmental requirement, adding a school cannot admit all those who passed for the school.

He advised the parents whose children could not gained admission to go to the second or third school of choice.

“I want the best for the school and the record that the school is setting for instance Bo School got aggregate 9 in BECE and there was almost hundred percent pass of student who sat under the school,” the principle noted.

A senior teacher of the School said that if only the principal is given the support he will do more to regain the past glory of the school, adding that the teachers are determined to give him the support and that the past retreat has put them on a sound footing to give their best to the school.

The Regional   Coordinator of the Basic Education Commission, Hassan Bangura said that the parents whose children could not get admission into school should meet him at his office so that they can help in the placement process.

He said that every school has its own criteria for admission   and Bo School administration has theirs, and encouraged the parents not to feel discouraged because their children could not gain admission into the Bo School.

“There are other schools which can absorb them,” Bangura said.
