Orthodox football Academy in Sierra Leone has ended a one week trial for U-10, U-12, U-15, U-16 and U-17 players at the Sierra Leone Football Academy playing field.
The main aim of the trials is to help the football academy to get potential players that will be recruited to the Football Academy and to also help the technical teams of the various national teams if they need players of the above they should visit the Orthodox Football Academy. He stressed about the poor performance of the Country U-15 side face in the just concluded WAFU tournament hosted in Conakry Guinea.
He affirmed that getting the trials has a huge potential and the prominent among them is to hire the current Coach John Keister to help the technical team at the Academy to select the right players for the various levels.
According to the Media team of Orthodox Football Academy the club needs 100 players from all from the following categories.
For the U-16 the Orthodox football Academy need 30 players, and for the U-10 side the club need 20 players, for the U-12 side it need 25 players for that level and lastly for the U-14 side the club need 25 players and the total of 100 players with have to make it to the newly constructed Academy.
The final draw of all levels will done on Thursday the 3rd June 2021 and it has to be headed by the current Leone Stars coach John Keister.
The Orthodox Mission is ready to give it full financial backing to see the football Academy be a successful one as the Country is yet to get a structured Football Academy, and over the years these has affected the National teams, as there are no Football Academy that will dare help the young players to make it to the lime light.
