The Chief Minister accompanied by the Youth Minister and members of the regional and district executive has taken the message of hope to various attaya bases and popular spots in Bo City.
In his first engagement with the sand truck drivers association on Bo Koribondo Highway, he conveyed greetings from His Excellency the President Rtd Brigadier Dr Julius Maada Bio and assured the association that the country was peaceful and progress was been made in across all sectors of government.
He also thanked them for the sacrifices they made to support the SLPP campaign with their trucks in 2018 and that the leader of the party had not forgotten their good gesture and had asked that he extend his appreciation to them.
In his response the Chairman of the association expressed their thanks and gratitude for his visit whilst commending the Chief Minister as the only Minister who has visited them since SLPP won the elections in 2018. He emphasized their unwavering support to the party and availed the association’s services to the party at anytime of their choosing
At World Wide Ataya base on Didon street he spoke to youth on the need for them to be law abiding and to avoid violence in all its forms and admonished them to take the third wave of the coronavirus disease very seriously. He asked that they not oelectionefforts to get vaccinated but to also social distance, wash their hands regularly and mask up.
His outreach also took him to Ngalu Road and center attaya bases, Kissy Town Road car wash, water front in Kortubuma, Banana Island in Njaboima, three attaya bases, driver’s union and The Garri sellers association all in New London.
In all the aforementioned spots he expressed the need for them to trust the process eschew violence, and to believe in the leadership of HE the President.
The objective of ” Operation Touch Base” is to bring government close to the people and to ensure that party faithful and party supporters not only get a feel of their leaders but are engaged and informed every step of the way and not just during elections
