High Court Judge, Justice Adrian Fisher has slammed an injunction restraining all Parties, ITGC, including the Chairman and Secretary from carrying out any activity regarding ITGC pending the final determination of the Ruling in Contempt proceedings.

This comes as a result of several complaints against the ITGC chairman Alfred Peter Conteh of maladministration.

Justice Adrain Fisher has banned the ITGC and APC from releasing any press release, participating in any radio discussion, print publications, and any social media platform about the court issue in the APC.

The Inspector General of Police was also ordered to effect the arrest and bring to court any individual or group going against this order.

Justice Adrian Fisher said he decided to take such a decision because under 35 of the High Court Rules of 2007 provides that “the court may grant an injunction by an interlocutory order in all cases in which it appears to the court to be just or convenient to do so and the orders may be made either unconditionally or upon such terms and conditions as the court considers just”.

Earlier this week the All people’s Congress youth wing held a press conference centre at the headquarters of the party.

At the press conference disgruntled Youths with placards called for the dismissal of Alfred Peter Conteh, on the placards held by youth with the inscription “Alfred Peter Co must go”.

Speaking anonymous source from within the party said they welcome the injection and it is in the interest of their party. He said the ITGC chairman has been involved in doing things  that is against the norms and values of the party and such actions is bringing the party to disrepute. The source continued that the chairman is sidelining some members of the ITGC as this has created fracas within the party. He said whatever the outcome of the ruling, their party’s poise to conduct all zonal elections come January 2023, as they preempt the ruling of Justice Fisher will be in the interest of the Party.

However, the matter will come up in court on the 23 of November 2022 for a ruling.
