Amadu Jalloh pupil attending Saint Edwards Secondary School in SSS 2, Ibrahim Koroma and two others has on the 18th January 2022, made their first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on four counts, two counts of conspiracy, a count of house breaking and larceny contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
According to the charge sheet on count 1, the 4th accused Daniel Kamara who is a driver and the 1st accused Amadu Jalloh pupil of Saint Edwards on a date unknown between 1st – 31st December 2021, at Flower Stick, Malama, Lumley, Freetown, conspired together with other person’s unknown to commit a felony to wit House Breaking and Larceny.
Count 2 state that, all accused persons Daniel Kamara, Amadu Jalloh, Ibrahim Koroma and Abdul Karim Fofanah on the same date and place conspired together with other person’s unknown to commit a felony to wit Larceny.
Count 3 states that Daniel Kamara and Amadu Jalloh on the same date and place broke and entered into the dwelling house of Abraham Koroma and stole therein household property value ninety eight million two hundred and twenty two thousand Leones (98,220,000) property of Abraham Koroma.
Count 4 states that all accused on the same date and place did steal household property worth ten million five hundred thousand Leones, property of Abraham Koroma.
Lawyer C. Campbell representing the all accused persons applied for bail pursuant to section 79 3 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965 that they’re Sierra Leonean ordinary residents within this jurisdiction they has reliable sureties who are willing and ready to enter into recognizance on their behalf they’re not a flight risk nor will they interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses they will make themselves available at any adjournment date
Magistrate Kekura granted bail to all the accused persons in the sum of fifty million Leones each or one surety each in like sum surety must be resident within his jurisdiction they must be elderly citizens both sureties should produce valid identity card depicting his/her addresses in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar
Matter adjourned to 24th January 2022, while Detective Superintendent of police Isatu Gbassy Fofanah prosecuting the matter.
