46yrs old Aminata Keita made her first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 19th February 2023 at Aberdeen Road Wilberforce Village the western area in Freetown assaulted Alusine Kitto Sesay in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm
The charge was read and explained to the accused person she pleaded not guilty.
Counsel representing the accused person J. Mansaray applied for bail for and on behalf of the accused person that she’s a Sierra Leonean resident within this jurisdiction that she has credible sureties who are willing and ready to go into recognizance on her behalf.
And that she will not interfere with prosecution witness or witnesses he made his application pursuant to section 79 3 of the Criminal procedure Act No.32 of 1965.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Gogra granted the accused person bail in the sum of twenty million Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties to be resident in the western area sureties to produce valid identity card one surety to be employed bail to be approved by the Bench matter adjourned to the 24th March 2023 for further hearing Inspector M. Kamara prosecuting the matter.
