Old Edwardians FC celebrated their second consecutive victory in the Leone Rock Premier League, defeating Wilberforce Strikers FC 3-0 in a commanding performance.

The match featured goals from Idrissa Kargbo, Ernest M. Massaquoi, and Abrahamson Kamara, highlighting Old Edwardians’ attacking strength. Both teams started energetically, with Wilberforce Strikers showing early promise. However, the deadlock was broken in the 54th minute when Idrissa Kargbo capitalized on pressure from his teammates to score.

Wilberforce Strikers struggled to convert their chances, hampered further by a red card for Umaru Fofonah just five minutes after the first goal, which disrupted the team’s rhythm and contributed to their eventual defeat.

In another fixture, Luawa FC held FC Kallon to a 1-1 draw at the Approved Schools Playing Field. Yamoussa Camara opened the scoring for FC Kallon with a penalty, but Dauda B. Samura equalized for Luawa FC during stoppage time, earning a crucial point for his side.

The draw was particularly significant for Luawa FC following their recent loss to Bo Rangers FC. Coach Tamba Ngon Ngon praised the late goal and expressed optimism about strengthening the squad for the second half of the league.

The Leone Rock Premier League continues to promise exciting fixtures and competitive action in the coming weeks.
