Following the poor run of the Club in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League, the Old Edwardian Football Club’s head coach Abdulai Kaloga Bah on 22nd February 2023 submitted a Letter of resignation to the Club that he is stepping down as head coach of the club.
Alhaji Mansaray the Public Relations Officer of Old Edwardian confirmed to this medium that yes, they as a club have received a letter of resignation from Abdulai Kaloga Bah the former head coach of the club, that he is resigning from the Club.
He affirmed that yes, we want to wish him all the best for the time he has spent with us as head coach and thank him for his services with the club.
Yes, noting despite the we are expecting much better results from him, the results are not fought coming we appreciate him for his services.
“As Club and Executive, we will meet to find a successor to replace him, but as it stands the current assistant coach Argami is going to serve as the head coach until a successor is found. While talking about the poor run of the club, he said the head coach should be the best person to answer the question.As Management Executives we have tried to motivate the players to give us the results but the results are not fought coming, “he disclosed.
Abdulai Kaloga Bah was appointed as the head coach on 7th September of the 2021/2022 Sierra Leone Premier League, where he guided the club to survive the relegation zone in the last premier league.
He has been around the game of Football for more than three-decade, being the head coach of the Sierra Leone Senior Female National team Sierra Queens, Former Coach of FC Johansen, and time coach of East End Lions.
He started his coaching career in the days of Papa Jack a Former Football Philanthropist who was in Sierra Leone to help grassroots Football in the Country.
Abdulai Kaloga Bah last time was put aside from the club because of an alleged sexual investigation by the Sierra Leone Football Association and he was later released from the Criminal Investigation Department, but as it stands FIFA has opened a fresh investigation from the Alleged Sexual matter.
Old Edwardian Football Club is currently in 9th position in the league of the Sierra Leone Premier League table after 14 matches played.
