Old Edwardian FC is set to host Mighty Blackpool FC on Saturday at the Parade Ground. Both teams are heading into this crucial match after experiencing mixed results in their previous encounters in the Sierra Leone Rock Premier League.

Old Edwardian FC managed to hold BO Rangers FC to a goalless draw in their last match at the Parade Ground. On the other hand, Mighty Blackpool FC suffered a defeat against Diamond Stars FC at the Koidu Town field.

The upcoming match is anticipated to be a tight contest given the recent form of both teams. A victory for Old Edwardian FC would see them accumulate 18 points from 14 matches played in the league, while a win for Mighty Blackpool FC would secure them 19 points from the same number of matches.

Junior Konneh, the head coach of Old Edwardian FC, expressed confidence in his team’s spirit and their ability to secure a win against Mighty Blackpool FC. He mentioned that the players are in good condition and fully focused on the match. Despite acknowledging the strength of their opponents, Konneh is optimistic about his team’s chances in the title race.

Mighty Blackpool FC, which started the league strongly, has encountered a dip in form with six defeats in their last 13 matches. This decline has raised concerns for the team’s technical staff.

In other matches across the country, Luawa Football Club is set to face Bai Bureh Warriors FC at the Kailahun Town field. Luawa FC, having won six matches in the ongoing league, will confront Bai Bureh Warriors FC, who are coming into the fixture after being held by Real Republicans FC. Bai Bureh Warriors FC is currently in the 17th position, one point ahead of Kolifila Stars FC in the 18th position of the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League.

On Sunday at the Mohamed Kallon playing field, FC Kallon Football Club will clash with Bhantal FC in a midday fixture. Both teams are entering the match on the back of wins in their previous encounters. FC Kallon is aiming to top the league with a victory, while Bhantal FC also has an opportunity to lead the league with a win on Sunday. The newly promoted Bhantal FC has had a promising start to the league, with only one loss in their last 13 matches, including six draws.
