Mr Lansana said the office of the President and Vice President of Sierra Leone is a public office and as such has to be audited to allay the worries of Sierra Leoneans being transparent in its capacity as an institution.
He went on to say the Audit report spelt out the issues of the Audit Service year by year.
He further that the 2021 Audit report was not produced in 2022 but was released on the 8th of December 2022, this he said happened because they got the account from the Accountant General only for the year 2021, as such the Assistant Auditor General said the 2022 Audit report will be made available on March as he said they are on the process of activities in 2022.
According to the Assistant Auditor General, he said no one detects nor instructs the Auditor General on the Audit report, stating that only if a request is issued by the President for the Auditor General to do a Technical Audit will he diligently do so without fear or favor.
