NUSS President-Elect Reaffirms Commitment Towards Quality Student’s Representation

President of the National Union of Sierra Leone Students Mohamed Rex Bonapha has reaffirmed his candid commitment towards quality and inclusive student’s representation in an interview at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation {SLBC} on Tuesday 13th December, 2022.

President Bonapha’s appointment which came as a result of many concerns raised by students across the country speaks volume that they need thorough representation and gender balance. Hence, Mr. Mohamed Rex Bonapha happens to be the torchbearer of all students bodies across the country.

He revealed that his executive will comprise of vibrant and competent students from various campuses nationwide; adding that he is mindful of collective national responsibility which he has been charged with.

“Working hand in glove with different Student Union bodies to figure out how best they will have students to fill in the various vacant positions for proper working and representation is my key concern”, Rex stated.

He stated that he is here to use the available tools on behalf of all students which are advocacy and lobbying.

He thanked President Bio’s leadership and the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education for adhering to the concerns of students in order to revamp the body charged with the responsibility of handling and manning the affairs of students across the country and beyond.

He expressed his profound gratitude to students for bestowing the available trust in him to serve and represent them at this level. President Bonapha said he has many plans in mind which will be cataloged and disclosed as time progresses.
