The Team Leader of the Sierra Leone Teqball Federation, Unisa Deen Kargbo (UDK) has confirmed to that the 5th Teqball World Championships will be held in Nürnberg, Germany between 23-27 November 2022, at the Kia Arena, Nuremberg.
Teqball is a football-based sport, played on a specially-curved table (the Teq table), which is attracting a new generation of athletes and amateur enthusiasts (teqers), whose ambition is to develop their technical skills, concentration and stamina.
UDK underscored that the sport, which was created in Hungary in 2012 is a truly gender-equitable game, as the rules define that Teqball shall be played between two (singles) or four players (doubles), irrespective of gender.
“This is an exciting and dynamic competition which will see 150-160 athletes from over 40 countries competing in all events: the women’s singles, men’s singles, women’s doubles, men’s doubles & mixed doubles,” the Team Leader reveals.
