For over forty years since the construction of the Temne Masjid which serves as one of the biggest masjids in Kenema city, Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray is the second person to consider its rehabilitation according to officials of the masjid.

This according to senior officials of the Masjid, has already gone into the books of history.

This was disclosed during the Friday Jummah prayers by the lead Imam while delivering the Friday sermon.

The Iman went further to state that, they have seen Chief’s massive intervention in rehabilitating masjids in other places, and therefore on behalf of the Temne Masjid expressed their greatest happiness to see the light finally shines upon them.

He said during the best legacy for mankind is the work of Allah and therefore indicated that, Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray’s name is already in Allah’s favorite kingdom.

As history also unfolds that the early life of the NPPA BOSS in Kenema is highly connected with the Temne Masjid, Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray has vowed to offer more to the Temne Masjid in Kenema until a more befitting status is achieved.

Currently, Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray has started the rehabilitation of the Temne Masjid with tilling as the work is said to progress to another stage shortly.

The excitement by the congregation was all over the place as they ushered prayers for the NPPA BOSS, PRESIDENT BIO and the People of Sierra Leone.

While addressing the congregation at the masjid after the Jummah prayers, the NPPA BOSS said, the Sierra Leone People’s Party frowns at any forms of discrimination especially tribal sentiment.

He said the rehabilitation of masjids is in consonant with President Bio and a deliberate intention to strengthen religious home citing that, prayer is very key towards the progress of any nation.

He applauded President Bio and her wife for always being supportive towards the progress of Kenema.

He called on authorities of various religious homes to continue praying for the nation so that the best will continue to be fall us all as a nation.

A tour led by authorities of the Temne Masjid was taken to see ongoing progress and ones that need further interventions.
