The Norwegian Investor Ing Morten Trostand has provided constructive explanation to the press and the police that Hon. Alusine Kanneh was not part of the alleged scam and kidnap incident that took place in Kailahun district, Penguia Chiefdom. He made this statement at a press conference held at the Criminal Investigation Department headquarters on Thursday 30th March 2023.

Speaking at the presser, Norwegian investor said he mentioned Hon. Kanneh`s name to journalists earlier this week that he connived with his fellow Norwegian brother Viggo Gunderson to scam him $3m and to kidnapped him but noted that is not true as he was deceived by colleagues.

He also revealed that the Honorable was also scammed according to investigations carried out and that he has done nothing unscrupulous towards me’.

“We feel sorry for him and the difficulties and pain he is going through…because of the position he holds, I really hope that further investigation will be carried out and will be free from all allegations”, he added, I have done due diligence to the issue and no documents has mentioned the name of the Honorable”.

Whereas, in response to the allegation, Honorable Kenneh said as a man of noble standing, God-fearing and upright personality will never soil my hands in dirty-shady act or to bring his name into disrepute. He said he felt sad hearing his name mentioned into such issue and that he has never met with Mr Trostand nor has he done business with him.

“…though he was assuming and have apologies for such mistaken identity I will not press legal charges against him,” Hon. Kenneh said.

Hon. Kanneh pinned that he knows nothing about the said transaction between whosoever and it was very unfortunate for such a personality like to be mentioned in such criminality. He called on the press to diligently conduct further investigation into issues of serious concern before publishing as such will have the tendency to assassinate the character of respected people in society.

However, the Norwegian investor Ing Morten Trostand accused his Norwegian brother Viggo Gunderson (CEO of Majestic Company) of scamming him a whopping sum of three million United State Dollars with the alleged complicity of a Sierra Leonean Member of Parliament Honorable Alusine Kanneh.

It is confirmed that Hon. Kanneh is believed to be a shareholder of a Majestic Company in Kailahun district, Penguia Chiefdom.

He explained that Hon Alusine Kanneh’s name was pronounced by one of the Police officers who beat him up (Ing Morten Trostand) as they were acting upon his instructions.

Trostand said between October to December last year he came in contact with Bravura Company through a Norwegian Newspaper (Financial Times) advertising that the above company needed an investor to invest three million dollars in a mining company in Sierra Leone.

The information from the local tabloid read that the money will be used to purchase machines for the mining sites and to expand the mining site to a large scale though they had small-scale concessions.
