Students of Njala University have expressed their satisfaction over the announcement by the university administration that they are going by the fees payed the previous year.
Speaking to this Medium they commended the student Union government headed by Iye Abu for advocating for adjustment of the university which according to them was increased from four to five million Leones.
Brima Conteh, a student in the second year said that ‘paying the same fees for last year is a step in the right direction by the university administration.
‘Thanks for being so sensitive to plight of the students as things are very difficult and our parents are very difficult to pay our fees,” he said, adding that ”our parents can however manage to pay the old fee.”
A notice from vacation by Njala University dated 24th January noted that” The University Administration wishes to announce for the attention of all students that the fees structure for the 2021/2022 Academic Year remains the same as that of the 2020/2021 Academic Year for 2nd to final year students.
First Year students in all programmes should pay the fees stipulated in their offer letters.
