As they gear up for the upcoming Sierra Leone Football Association Division One playoff, which will determine their qualification to the prestigious Sierra Leone Premier League, the club faces a critical challenge – the urgent need for financial support and professional management.
The Njala Rangers’ recent success on the field has been met with jubilation and excitement among the local community in Njala Mokonde. With their sights set on the higher echelons of Sierra Leonean football, the team’s dreams of playing in the Sierra Leone Premier League are within reach. Financial constraints have emerged as the primary hurdle for Njala Rangers FC. Speaking to the team’s head coach Umaru Mohamed Gassama via a mobile phone interview, expressed his confidence in the players’ abilities but emphasized the significance of financial backing.
“Our players have shown tremendous potential and teamwork throughout the season. However, to compete at the highest level, we need financial support to enhance training facilities, provide proper nutrition for the players, and cover essential logistics during away games.” He stated

As a community-University based team, Njala Rangers have relied on passionate volunteers who have selflessly contributed their time and efforts. However, as the stakes escalate, the need for experienced administrators becomes imperative.
On his part, the assistant coach, Abdulia Bangura said the local community, businesses, and stakeholders have rallied behind the team, organizing fundraising events and donation drives. Their efforts have shown the team that they are not alone in their quest for Premier League status.
The team is therefore appealing to the Sierra Leone Football Association and other sports governing bodies to extend a helping hand to Njala Rangers FC during this crucial juncture Abdulia Bangura emphasized.
