At least nine suspects are in police custody for various offences ranging from unlawful possession of harmful substances suspected to be KUSH, TRAMADOL and CANNABIS.
The nine police suspects were arrested by some police officers of the Bo west Police station during a particular raid in order to ensure that the city of Bo is cleared off with criminals. The nine (9) police suspects include:
Mohamed Lamin Kanneh, Sheku Konneh, Christian Lansana, Ibrahim Sesay, Ibrahim Sorie Kamara, Sheku Kamara, Mohamed Samura, Mohamed B. Koroma and Edward Kanneh.
Explaining further the objective of the raid conducted by the Bo West Police Station, The Sub- inspector of Police Andrew Aiah Mondeh who is also doubles as the head of Media for the Bo West Police division noted that it is constitutional for the Sierra Leone Police especially the operations wing to embark on raids in order to curb out criminals in suspected areas. He maintained that Moriba Town and Shellmingo communities where the nine suspects were arrested are notorious areas for criminal activities noting for far too long people living in the afore said communities find it very difficult to sleep with both eyes close especially at nights. The sub-inspector of police and head of media unit Bo west police station intimated this medium that the nine police suspects after police investigation are going to be charged to court. Meanwhile the former spokesperson for the Bo West Police Division Assistant Superintendent of Police Bobson Senu has been transferred to Freetown as the deputy spokesperson for the Sierra Leone Police force.
