The Speaker of Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District has said that Nimikoro Chiefdom is the strong hold of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Chief Sahr Abdulai Kumasie made the statement in an engagement with the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Tamba Lamina at the Ngaiya NDMC Old Camp in Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District.
The engagement was for the Minister to ascertain the support people have for the SLPP Party in that part of the District.
The Chiefdom Speaker of Nimikoro further implored both sympathisers and supporters of the Party to maintain and improve on their support for the Party ahead of the 2023 general elections so that the SLPP will retain power and thereby maximise the benefits the party has for its supporters in the Chiefdom and Kono District as a whole.
Chief Sahr Abdulai Kumasie reiterated that the nook and cranny of Nimikoro Chiefdom belongs to the Sierra Leone People’s Party.
He assured the Minister of their unflinching support before during and even after the 2023 general elections in the Country.
Responding Tamba Lamina, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development expressed gratitude , thanks and appreciation for the statement made by the second gentleman of Nimikoro Chiefdom , Kono District and promised to work to its realization come the general elections 2023.
“I am delighted not only for the support, my Party has in Nimikoro Chiefdom but also for the Speaker to note that he is a proud member of the SLPP”. Tamba Lamina opined.
He urged supporters of the Party to be organizing meetings so that they can discuss issues for the development of Party in the Chiefdom and the District as whole.
