The Female Yellow-Greens commenced the Nigeria Women’s T20 International Tournament with a six-wicket win as Sierra Leone’s experienced Zainab Kamara hit 13 at the Tawafa Balewa Square in Lagos State on Monday.
After a rainstorm in the morning, both teams drove into the TBS Oval and warmed down over a wet outfield before the toss.
Ambitious Sierra Leone was all for the fielding, but the Yellow-Greens won the toss and chose to seize that advantage.

The host side replied with 67 for the loss of 4 wickets in 13 overs, hitting a net run rate of 1.308.
Lucky Piety came in with 22 runs as Agatha Uadiale settled for 11 while Esther Sandy made 5.
The Yellow-Greens struggled for a six-wicket win, voices all low.
Highest run scorer Lucky Piety won the Woman of the Match award after 22 off 24 balls, taking one catch.
