Ahead of Sierra Leone senior National team Leone Stars three Friendlies in Turkey new faces set to make their appearance for the National team in crunch friendlies matches
According to close sources, Ghanaian-born midfielder Samuel Kweku Bekoe is set to be named in Coach John Keister Leone Stars squad ahead of three International friendlies in Turkey against Togo, Liberia, and Congo Brazzaville.
According to a Press Statement from the SLFA, Leone Stars will face the Hawks of Togo on the 24th before taking on Liberia’s Lone Stars and the Red Devils of Congo Brazzaville on the 27th and 29th respectively.
These matches which will be Leone Stars’ first after 2021 that Africa Cup nations in Cameroon will serve as build-up matches for the team’s opening games in 2023 Afcon qualifiers in June.
The SLFA Statement also states that the Leone Stars coach John Keister has already invited players for these friendlies including a few new names. Among them is Swedish-born Jonathan Sahr Morsey currently playing for Greek top-flight league club Panetolikos. The 24 years old winger had consented to play for Sierra Leone before the AFCON finals in Cameroon.
