In Freetown, Arab Kamara was arrested on May 6, 2025, and charged in court before Magistrate Soa Mamakoh Kallon of Court No. 3 for larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916, after allegedly stealing a Benz ML vehicle and other items entrusted to him for repairs.
According to prosecution witness Samuel Ndoye, the accused, who is his neighbor, had offered to maintain the vehicle but later disappeared with it, along with parts valued at NLe 6,450. Ndoye told the court that, although he initially decided to forgive Kamara, the latter’s repeated insults forced him to report the matter to the Congo Cross Police.
When asked to respond in court, Kamara pleaded for mercy, referring to the witness as his “brother.” The case was adjourned to August 19, 2025, for further hearing.
