The scouted forty (40) players have to go for an MRI scan to know if they are within the right age and again to avoid the two embarrassments the Country has in the last two editions. He further that after the trials countrywide they will get the boys together and organize match for them to get them into competitions moods.

Alimamy Kurdish Conteh affirmed that the technical decision to conduct the trials nationwide allows the players across the country and to give players within the different regions to be included because it will give it national representations.

A week ago the technical team of the Under 17 boys together with some key football held a two-day friendly as they play against the Moroccan under 17 sides in Liberia where they won one another match. Sierra Leone last played an under -17 tournament in 2003/2004 when they put up an impressively performance and were qualified to the finals in Finland.
