Mount Aureole Football Club SLIFA a Premier League team has on 19th August 2022 changed its name to now Freetonian Football Club. The announcement was made at a press conference held at the SLFA Football Academy in Kingtom, Freetown.
The CEO of the football club, Mr. Benjamin Gordin Esq said “We decided to call this presser to inform the Football family that the Football Mount Aureole name has now been changed to Freetonian Football club.” He noted the reason why management decided to change the club name is that the club is struggling with funding.
Mr. Gordin added that the partnership is a 50-50 Partnership deal and one partner decided to sell his share out to the public, he noted the package is an undisclosed but lucrative deal and they will be signing players before the kick start of the Premier League.
He confirmed that they are running everything even though the company is in the United States they have the trust to run the club as a company because they have gotten the trust for a long time from where the discussion started to where they have now to sign a Partnership deal. He noted that everything in the club is going to change such as Jersey, the name, the logo, and other things.
He further that when the CEO of the Freetonians Company comes to Freetown they will be doing an official unveiling of the Chief Executive Officer and Jersey and outline some of their plans as they will organize another presser to inform football-loving families on the latest of the club.
