Motorbike Rider in Court for Mobile Phone Fraud

David Sesay, a 22-year-old motorbike rider, appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown, facing a charge of Fraudulent Conversion, contrary to Section 20(1)(iv)(a) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, on August 23rd, 2025, at Quarie, Wilkinson Road in the western area of Freetown, the defendant is alleged to have fraudulently converted a Samsung A03 mobile phone, valued at six thousand five hundred Leones (Le 6,500), which had been entrusted to him by Alpha Umaru Bah for safekeeping.

When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, no plea was entered.

The prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh, requested a short adjournment to call his next witness.

Magistrate Fornah adjourned the matter to November 5th, 2025.
