Mohamed Kamara Granted Le100,000 Bail in Alleged Theft Case

Mohamed Kamara has been granted bail in the sum of Le100,000 following an alleged theft charge. He appeared before Magistrate Adama Kandeh at Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 4 on a single count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused, on August 7, 2025, at No. 10 Second Street, New England Ville, in the Western Area of Freetown, allegedly stole ninety (90) blocks, each valued at Le30, totaling Le2,700, two pistons, each valued at Le500, totaling Le1,000, one carpet, valued at Le300, one bearing, valued at Le400

The total value of the stolen property amounts to Le4,400, and the items are said to belong to Mohamed Kantay.

When the charge was read and explained, the accused pleaded not guilty.

Inspector A.I. Bangura, prosecuting the matter, requested a short adjournment to allow him time to lead his witness in court.

Magistrate Kandeh granted the accused bail in the sum of Le100,000, with the following conditions the accused must provide two sureties, each surety must present a valid NCRA ID, sureties must be employed individuals residing within the court’s jurisdiction. Bail must be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar

The case has been adjourned to October 17, 2025, for further proceedings.
