In a thrilling match at the Approved School field, Star Sport Academy FC secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Abacha City FC in match week 20 of the Leone Rock Premier League. The visitors dominated the game, with Mohamed Buya Turay scoring a brace and earning the Man of the Match award.

Turay opened the scoring in the 7th minute, converting a cross from Larry Siemon, and doubled the lead in the 19th minute. Mohamed C. Jalloh and Abubakarr Yillah added to the score, ensuring a comfortable win for Star Sport Academy FC.

Abacha City FC struggled to recover from the early deficit, and their efforts to mount a comeback in the second half were unsuccessful. This win cements Star Sport Academy FC’s position at the top of the league table while Abacha still fighting hard to come out from the red zone.

In the other match at the SLFA Academy playing field, SLIFA and Port Authority Share Spoils in a Thrilling Match Week 20 Clash

SLIFA FC left it late to earn a 1–1 draw against Port Authority FC in a Match Week 20 clash at the SLFA Academy in Kingtom. The visitors drew first blood in the 14th minute when Abdul Sesay finished off a well-worked move, calmly converting after being set up by Papaye Gumba Mansaray to give Port Authority an early advantage.

The early breakthrough set the pace for a highly competitive opening half. SLIFA pushed for a response but found it difficult to break through a well-organized Port Authority defense before the break. The first half also featured its share of gritty challenges, with Stanley Bonirose (#28) and Anthony Koroma (#77) both receiving yellow cards as both sides battled for control.

The second half saw SLIFA step up the pressure, and their persistence finally paid off in the 83rd minute. Abdulai Koroma brought the home side level, finishing from close range after a timely assist from Santigie Fornah. Bainous Bangura (#29) also entered the referee’s book in the 70th minute as the match’s physicality continued to simmer, but discipline largely held, and no red cards were shown. Despite frantic late efforts from both sides to seize all three points, neither could find a winner. Santigie Fornah’s influence earned him the Man of the Match award, providing a creative spark and crucial assist that secured the equalizer.

At the Approved Schools playing field, FC Kallon came from a goal down to win against Bullum Stars FC in match week 20 of the Leone Rock Premier League.

Alimamy Turay put the host ahead in the six minute of play in the first half, but goals Sallieu Tarawallie in the penalty spot and Yamoussa Camara helped the visitors FC Kallon to grab all three points.

The Leone Rock Premier League continues Monday and Tuesday with thrilling matches across the Country.
