In Makeni Resident Court, Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah has sentenced Fatorma Mansaray to 4 years imprisonment for stealing a techno spark 7 mobile phone.
Testifying before the court, complainant Mariama said on the aforementioned date she was in her parlour when the convict Fatorma Mansaray met her and that he wanted a bitter kola rubber drink.
She said when they were sitting someone brought some Lacoste clothes for sale and after she has finished watching the Lacoste she decided to snap them and send the photos to her husband.
Meanwhile, the convict Fatorma Mansaray left the Parlour where they were seated and went away. Later, Mariama searched for her device everywhere in the Parlour but couldn’t see find and she did not waste any time reporting the matter to the police, thus the police arrested Fatorma Mansaray and charged him for Larceny contrary to section two (2) of the Larceny act of 1961.
In his defence before the court, the accused Fatorma Mansaray said he forgot and took away Mariama’s phone. He pleaded guilty and asked for mercy, the Magistrate gave him a custodian sentence of 4 years, and the convict Fatorma Mansaray is presently serving his jail term at the Makeni correctional centre, Police 18548 Mansaray I.E prosecuted the matter.
In a similar development, according to the particulars of offence on the 1st July 2022 at ADD Line Talent town in Makeni Gbanti Chiefdom Bombali Judicial District Northern Province in the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Dauda Mansaray broke into the dwelling house of Lansana and catered away properties worth thousands of Leones, the properties that were catered away by Mohamed Dauda Mansaray were physical cash of one thousand Leones and one new android phone with 2 Gb Memory card, black solar Bluetooth tape with 3 Gb cards and one assorted solar light, Lansana reported the matter to the Police and Dauda Mansaray was arrested.
In his first appearance before the Resident Magistrate, the convict pleaded guilty and asked for mercy and a custodian sentence of four years for the offence of Larceny was pronounced against him. Mohamed Dauda Mansaray is presently serving his jail term at the Makeni correctional centre, while S.I Cole prosecuted the matter.
