The summit attracted a diverse group of investors, both local and international, and was widely hailed as a crucial step in advancing President Julius Maada Bio’s “Feed Salone” agenda, which aims to achieve food security and self-reliance for Sierra Leone.

The event also highlighted the leadership of Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka, Minister of Agriculture, for his successful efforts in implementing the Feed Salone agenda.

A key feature of the summit was a panel discussion on “Investment Opportunities in Sierra Leone”, moderated by Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, Chairman of PI-CREF. The panel featured high-level speakers, including Minister Kpaka, Mr. Alpha Sesay, Minister of Trade and Industry, as well as the World Bank Country Manager and other private sector investors. They discussed the growing investment opportunities in Sierra Leone’s agricultural sector and explored strategies to further develop and modernize the industry.
