The Sierra Leone Premier League continues to get tightened as the battle for the title keeps unfolding while Blackpool Football Club has on 8th January 2022 trashed Wusum Stars Football Club by four goals to nil at the Museum Stadium in Makeni.

Mohamed Fobie open the scoring in the first just 10 minutes of play as he collected a pass from the right-hand corner and buried it home to give the visitors the lead, host Wusum Stars try to bounce back, but they were not clinical in front of goal to make use of their chances, the second goal of Mighty Blackpool came in 25th  minutes and Joseph Kaka scored the second goal through a deflected shots and the ball went back of the net to give the Mighty Blackpool believe that they can get all three points from the crunch tie. The match later went for half time.

After the break, both teams returned to the pitch with both players looking more determined for the second half after the team talks from both technical teams, the host Wusum Stars look more bright in the second half after ten minutes of play as they look to score two goals conceded in the first half, but the strikers were not composed in front of goal to do the needful in the match and the solid rock defence of Mighty Blackpool held on.

Mighty Blackpool got their third and fourth goal in the 73rd minute and (80th) minutes of play and Mohamed Fobie scored brace in the 73rd minute of play and Kabbah Tucker got the four goals in the (80th) of play to wrap up the win for the visitors as the home side have nothing to show in the match as it ends up a win for Mighty Blackpool Football Club and it took them to the second position in the Premier League log.

Mohamed Fobie won the match award because of his outstanding performance of the match.

At the Angola Town Field, Real Republicans secure their second win as they defeated Kamboi Eagles by a goal to nil, and Dennis Kamara scored the all-important goal in the 19th-minute play and it was assisted by Henry Koroma, the Soccer Ambassador held on to secure their second win in the Premier League.

At the Bo Mini Stadium, Bo Rangers defeated Freetown City Council by a goal to nil to maintain their top spot in the Premier League log, and Fleance Kamara scored the vital in the 53rd minute of play, after a goalless draw in the first half, and they had to snatch the all-important three points that took them back to the top spot of the Premier League log.

At the Koidu Townfield, Diamond Stars came from a goal down to beat Port Authority FC by (2-1)  as the visitors took the lead in the first half, but the home side was more determined to get all three points, and that worked out well as they continue the good runs at home.

At the Parade grounds, Freetonian SLIFA bows out to Bai Bureh Warriors of Port Loko by two goals to one, (1-2) after taking the lead in the first half but the visitors are more direct in their final third and got the all-important three all points.

At the Government Centre field, East End Tigers Football Club settle for a two-all draw (2-2) with FC Kallon Football as Baimba Sesay scored twice against his former club, and Joseph Kamara and Atta Texton both scored for the host Tigers to give them a point in the match.

At the Lungi Centre field, FC Johansen held East End Lions Football Club to a goalless draw (0-0) as both teams played the entire match with a man down as two playerswere showed red cards. Mohamed Kamara was sent off for a serious scuffle against John Sesay of FC Johansen the center-man decided to send off both players.

East End Lions Football Club has now the difficult task to face Old Edwardian in the next match, a side that has won three back-to-back matches in a role in the Premier League.
