Mighty Blackpool FC Claims Third Win of the Season

Mighty Blackpool FC celebrated their third victory of the season, powered by goals from Umaru Jalloh, Ibrahim Kamara, and Mohamed Lamin Turay.

The match opened with both teams showcasing dynamic play, generating several attacking opportunities. The breakthrough came in the 45th minute plus 2, when Umaru Jalloh converted a penalty, giving Mighty Blackpool FC a crucial lead just before halftime.

At the break, they maintained a significant advantage with their one-goal lead. Energized after the interval, both teams sought to make an impact in the second half.

Ibrahim Kamara quickly doubled the lead in the 48th minute, finishing a swift assist from Foday Engo Bundu, boosting Mighty Blackpool FC’s confidence as they pushed for more.

Kamboi Eagles FC attempted a comeback but wasted several golden opportunities that could have shifted the game’s momentum. In the 67th minute, Mohammed Lamin Turay added a third goal for Mighty Blackpool FC with a brilliant solo effort, effectively sealing the match.

Though Kamboi Eagles FC managed to score in stoppage time through Osman Sesay, it was too late to change the outcome, and Mighty Blackpool FC celebrated their first win of the season.

In other matches, Diamond Star FC and league leaders East End Lions FC played to a 1-1 draw at Koidu Town Field. Sam Diallo’s penalty gave East End Lions FC the lead, but they were denied all three points by a late equalizer.

Wusum Stars FC and Bo Rangers FC ended in a goalless draw at Wusum Field in Makeni, leaving fans disappointed in a scoreless provincial derby.

At the Approved Schools playing field, Freetonians SLIFA fought back to draw 1-1 with Bhantal FC. Bhantal FC initially took the lead with a goal from Emmanuel Ansumana in the 14th minute, followed by a second from Mohamed Bangura in the 46th minute. However, Satigie Fornah’s goals in the 63rd minute and another from the penalty spot in the 71st minute ensured Freetonians SLIFA secured a point.

The Leone Rock Premier League continues in the coming weeks, with four matches remaining to conclude the first round.
