Mighty Black pool Football Club Executive Committee has over the weekend agreed that the club is now going to operate as a Company limited by shares.
The management Executive Committee reached at this decision after a strategic meeting held with the Supporters, the Heroes.
Executive Committee Elders council move the motion that the club needed to operate as Company limited by shares and the public and well-wishers now have the chance to come in and buy shares in the Club.
In a Press Release dated the 30th September 2023, the Executive Committee appointed 12 interim members that will have to spare head the process of transforming the club to a company limited by shares, the interim Committee members is going to be headed by Rodney Michael as Chairman of the interim Committee supported by (11) other members within the executive membership of the Club.
Ibrahim Sankoh the Public Relations Officer of Mighty Black pool Football Club said the interim are going to take charge to see that the Football Club start to operate as Company limited where the Public can come in and buy shares, noting the interim Committee will have to contact Lawyers and Financial services people to advise how the shares are going to run and what is needed to buy and how to go about it.
He affirmed that, after the buying of shares the Club will embark of buying players with the available fund to compete for the title of the Sierra Leone Premier League this time around, noting that their outing the last time they came second and they are currently bracing up for the upcoming Community shield match against Bo Rangers on the 28th October 2023 at the Southern Arena Stadium in BO City.
Mighty Blackpool Football Club found in 1954, the club has participated in all major clubs tournament organized by Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) and the Tis Tas have won Sierra Leone’s Premier League 12 times and reached the CAF Champions League quarterfinal stage.
In another development, Mighty Blackpool Football Club has secured the signature of Bureh Ganso Koroma on a long time contract and the deal will keep him the club till 2028, the on loan player from Sierra Leone Police FC last season was pivotal behind the success of the Tissue Tass boys to finish as runners up in the just concluded Sierra Leone Premier League.
