Popular candidate who contested for the local Head Man ship at Masorie (1) community Waterloo, Mr Yusuf Kamara and who was recently declared winner of the Masorie Village by the Electoral Commissioner and Chairman of the National Returning Officer and Electoral Commissioner of Sierra Leone, has launched operation “Get them out” from the affected drugs known as Kush.
Mr Kamara is widely known for his robust discipline and stand among the Masorie residence as a no nonsense leader who always see and work towards a path of discipline.
After his declaration several young people took to the street of the village from all works of life to applaud the change and the emerge victory of the New Leader into the political limelight. Masorie under the past regime of the former Head Man Alpha Umaru Barrie alias H.M Popay was labeled as a den of thuggery with violent spirit of indiscipline and recklessness. His made up gang known as Kinston Town is led by a Notorious Gangster called Governor who believed to terrify the community against everyone that goes against the wishes of their master.
Most of the community people voted for change as the continuous harassments are become so unbearable.
The thuggery is becoming a syndicate of cartelism as many of these young gangsters are under the command of Popay who believe to control them by investing huge amount of Kush in them.
Popay is also known for his notorious land selling to several people that has sparked lots of conflict of interest among buyers.
All these have caused frustrated people to see the community as the worst part to live in Waterloo.
Sad to see that most of these young youths are highly talented with various God given skills that could have been used to improve their lives and the community.
Rising cases of youths that smoke the drugs are becoming dangerously addicted to it. After a few puff they are left unable to stand and ready to go by orders given to them by their pay master.
Mr Kamara said his tenure as leader is to ensure a community of peace and safety and he is ready to do anything with the conferment of his power to rebrand the image of the village from the past dark cloud. “I am deeply in pain over the past years to see such a beautiful community always in the bad spot, he cried out.
“Under my leadership, things will change for good. I believe in the Vision of the President Maada Bio agenda for change and i am ready to assist in my own little way to ensure that the same vision of the President is acheived. Masorie will be rebranded and becomes a paradise to many.
Mamy resident spoke to applaud the new idea of the Head Man and called on him to be steadfast and not relent in his fight to fight the enemies of the village.
Others expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Local Unit Commander at the Waterloo division Mr Sama for his proactiveness.
The warrior as he famously called is one of the most highly disciplined no nonsense police officer who is on the rampage to trap all those dangerous criminals within the vicinity.
His sleepless night patrols together with his gallant team have help to restore order and peace.
Locals are also pleading with the government to assist the community through their leadership to help bring development as they lack so many basic facilities, they cried out.
