Twenty-nine-year-old Alpha Kamara, a Masoner, made his first appearance before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Pademba Road Court No.3 in Freetown on three charges: conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law, Robbery with aggravation, and Assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
According to the particulars of the offense, on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at Mount Aureol in the western area of Freetown, the conspirators conspired with other persons unknown to commit a felony, namely Robbery, with aggravation.
Count two further stated that on the same date and place, the accused person, armed with a knife, robbed Abu Bakarr Kamara of one iPhone 8+ valued three thousand five hundred Leones(3,500) property of the said Abu Bakarr Kamara.
Count three further stated that on the same date and place, the accused person Assaulted Abu Bakarr Kamara in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
No plea was taken when the charge was read and explained to the accused person.
Inspector T. Macfoy sought a short adjournment date for her to get a proper conference with her witness.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Tucker refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 31 October 2024.
