Aspirant for Member of the Sixth Parliament for the Sierra Leone Peoples’ Party (SLPP) in constituency 069 in Portloko District, Mariatu Racheal Sesay-Pessima, has over the weekend broke the long standing domineering records of the All People’s Party by staging a historic political party activities for the SLPP in Maikanu Village, Portloko District.
The widest notion was that ever in the history of that village, locals of the village had never embraced SLPP activities but Mariatu Racheal Sesay-Pessima had broken that taboo by converging thousands of locals with the motive of endorsing President Bio’s re-election.
Madam Mariatu Rachael Sesay-Pessima expressed that she felt grateful for seeing such a number of supporters patronizing for the reelection of President Bio. She added that the Port Loko people had demonstrated the true willingness of casting their votes for President Bio in the June 24 Presidential Election. She continued that in the previous years, the APC party had been head-bent lying to their people without showcasing any form of development to the people of Portloko District. “We all have seeing that today no parents cannot pay a single Leones for a child to go to school because President Bio has provided Free Quality Education for every school going child in the entire country,” Hon. Mariatu Pessima said.
She mentioned that President Bio has many developmental plans for Portloko District as along as he is re-elected for his second term. Hon. Mariatu Sesay-Pessima assured the people of Portloko District that His Excellency President Bio is a man of his words and he would surely delivery on those promises especially when he is reelected.
On his Part, honourable Alpha Kanu, urged the people of Portloko District to kindly embrace President Bio by voting him in the June 24th Presidential Election as well keep to task of throwing their support for Hon. Mariatu Rachel Sesay Pessima as their Parliamentary Candidate for Constituency 069 in Portloko. He said President Bio is a true leader who is blessed with the quality of protecting all Sierra Leoneans and he is now one of the foot soldiers of His Excellency President Bio in terms of propagating his message. “President Bio has given an equal level ground for every school pupils to acquire education,” Hon. Alpha Kanu said.
He called on the Portloko people to support President Bio and Hon. Mariatu Rachel Sesay Pessima in the coming General Elections. He emphasized that President Bio is the Moses and Redeemer for Sierra Leone and Portloko District in General.
National Women’s Leader for Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Hawa Forray encouraged the women in Portloko to vote for Hon. Mariatu Rachel Sesay-Pessima as their Member of Parliament in the June 24th General Elections. She affirmed that President has tremendous love for women and even translated that into the 30% quota for women. She said the 30% would have women actively involved in leadership positions and play the front foot positions in governance as well as involving in decision making.
The occasion was climaxed with a declaration ceremony wherein, supporters of the APC, NGC and C4C openly declared and endorsed President Bio’s re-election come June 24th 2023.
