An old man identified as Ibrahim Kamara is reported to have been found stoned dead by the Meya River at Kensay Community in Koidu City.
Komba Morby is one of the local authorities at Kensay community in Koidu City, in an interview with our correspondent, said in the evening hours on last Saturday he was called and informed that the deceased was found by the aforesaid river and immediately rushed to the scene where he advised on lookers not to touch the remains in the absence of the police.
According to Mr. Morby after the police and other authorities visited the scene the remains were later handed over to his family members for burial as the cause of death was natural.
However, it could be recalled that the deceased up to his death was seeing working for people at the aforementioned community to earn his daily bread. Meanwhile, report making the rounds maintained that owing to the age of the deceased he might have been over worked somewhere and because he could not withstand the energy fatigue by then, he gave up the ghost and for the fear of trouble those he was working for denied knowledge of the cause of his death. His remains have been buried at the Penduma area in Koidu City.
