A forty year old Alfred Kamara is reported to have sexually penetrated a thirteen (13) year old girl in Koidu, Kono District.
According to the alleged survivor, a couple of weeks ago, the alleged perpetrator Alfred Kamara pleaded with her to go and fetch water for him pretending to be sick. She noted that, immediately she entered the room to collect the container, the perpetrator closed the door and pushed her on the floor, over-powered and raped her.
The grandmother of the survivor disclosed to our Kono reporter that the girl returned home crying. When she was interrogated the girl said one Alfred Kamara penetrated her.
The granddaughter of the girl then rushed her to the police and later took her to the rainbow centre for medical check up. The grandmother further disclosed that since the incident occurred the girl has been complaining of pains and other ailments.
She noted that none of the alleged perpetrator’s family member never showed up to at least sympathize with them.
However, one Reverend Augustine Kamara identified as the elder brother of Alfred Kamara told our reporter that he has no hands in the issue, noting that, the perpetrator is a full grown man.
Meanwhile, Alfred Kamara is on the run and the rumour making rounds, is alleging that Rev. Augustine Kamara advised his younger brother to run away, a claim that cannot be ascertained.
