In his effort to ensure a No Run Off victory for President Bio, Mamud Sesay, son of Dr Kadie Sesay, former Vice Presidential running mate to Rtd Brigadier Julius Maada Bio in the 2012 Presidential election was in Port Loko district to engage his people that they will all vote for President Bio on the 24th of June 2023.
Mamud Sesay, a member of the Hillside Green Network first stopped at Koya where he visited the SLPP office. Mamud Sesay was introduced to the SLPP Executive by Pa Conteh of Songo village. In his presentation, Mamud Sesay reminded the people of Koya about their relationship with his mother Dr. Kadie Sesay, reiterating the need to continue supporting SLPP, and the Presidency of Rtd Brigadier Julius Maada Bio.
The SLPP Koya Executive told Mamud Sesay that the SLPP is in high gear for the June 24th elections. Many good messages were delivered about the good work of Dr Kadie Sesay in Koya. Mamud Sesay offered financial support to the Koya SLPP Executive in readiness for a No Run-Off campaign for President Bio.
In Lungi and Lokomasama where the name Dr. Kadie Sesay is a household name, Mamud Sesay also engaged the SLPP Executive, encouraging them to make sure the people of Port Loko show up in high numbers on Election Day and vote for SLPP.
Mr Mamud Sesay appealed to his people of Port Loko not to accept the tribal bigotry propagated by the APC. He said SLPP is a blessing to the people of Sierra Leone. Mr Sesay also gave financial support to the Executive of Port Loko so that they will help in the mobilization of the people to vote for SLPP.
The Executive of SLPP in Port Loko thanked Mamud Sesay for coming back home to help pursue the interest of SLPP. Many prayers were said for the healing of Dr Kadie Sesay.
Hillside Green Network is a multi-community SLPP support initiative formed to foster a collaborative approach to June 2023 victory. Hillside Green Network will pull together stakeholders in the Hillside communities in the Western rural Areas to on focus human and national interventions towards widening and deepening support for President Bio, Mayoral candidate Gento, PR-based party election and local council representation.
