Magistrate Mark Ngegba has sent a former APC Councilor to Jail.
In September 2022 Councillor Sheku Turay popularly known as Ice T was charged for incitement in connection with a statement he made in January 2021 during a Press Conference at the Freetown City Council.
“We have the man power to cause unrest in Freetown”, he stated.
He further pointed out that the Chief Administrator is bias and not fair to elected Councilors.
For Magistrate Mark Ngegba He was, however, admitted to bail but on the 24th April, 2023 he appeared in court again and Magistrate Mark Ngegba adjourned the matter.
When he arrived in court in the morning he informed the Magistrate that he will be going to ECSL to be nominated in order to contest for a Ward in the East End of Freetown.
However, the Magistrate cancelled his bail and sent him to prison.
