Residents in Moyamba district have expressed their appreciation to President Bio’s administration, for providing another safe link between the district and other areas in the country.
In an interview with a-z press the youth leader for Moyamba district youths council; James kowie disclosed that, the reconstruction of Mabang Bridge in Moyamba district is another hope for more development.
He further reveals that goods of traders were perishing in chiefdoms around ma bang because of the Said Bridge.
George Gbanga civil society activist when talking to a-z said Moyamba district have the shortest road linking to the capital from the south, eastern and some areas in the Northern Province.
Adding that the past government neglected Mabang Bridge because transport users will prefer passing through Moyamba to makalloh, than passing through mile 91. He ended up by saying he is patiently waiting for president Bio to officially open Mabang Bridge as that will help reduce transportation cost in the district and promote development.
Yusufu Tamba driver`s union chairman for Moyamba reveal that the district has been reporting lots of accident cases in Ribbi chiefdom due to the poor ferry that was at ma bang community.
As he describes president Bio’s intervention as a total change for more development, adding that drivers were afraid to use ma bang to Makalloh due to the formal bridge, as he believes that now drivers and passengers will enjoy short and comfortable trips to the capital Freetown.
