Sierra Leone Senior National Team Leone Stars Captain Stevens Caulker (31) has signed for League one Sides Wigan Athletic Football Club for the 2022/23 season.
The (31) years old Caulker joined the Latics as a free agent a few weeks after he parted ways with Turkish Superliga side Faith Karagumruk after four months with the Turkish Club.
“I have just penned down the deal the Challenge, at this time of my career, is the right step for me. I’m excited to join the club and ready to do my best for the Club to achieve its goals in the Championship”,he said.
The center-back who started his senior career at Tottenham Hotspur in 2009 will be making a return to English football after last playing for Liverpool in 2016.
Stevens Caulker has a vast experience in the Premier League with the likes of Tottenham, QPR Cardiff City, and Liverpool. The defender is set to wear the number 29th Shirt during his stay at Wigan Stadium.
Stevens Caulker was chosen Captain of the Sierra Leone Senior team Leone Stars just after the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and he has been outstanding since joining the Leone Stars.
