The absent of complainant Babadi Kamara (Team Manager of Leone Star) to make his presence felt and to prosecute his case has stalled the job of the prosecution.
Complainant Babadi Kamara took 37yrs old Philip Moinina Kangbai to court for redress on one count charge to wit Housebreaking and Larceny contrary to section 26th (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence police alleged that on Saturday 15th January 2022 at No.27 Caulker Street off Torwama Road, Bo, the Southern Province of the Republic of Sierra Leone with intent to steal, breaks and entered into the dwelling house of the Complainant and stole therein the sum of twenty six thousand united States dollars ($26,000) equivalent to three hundred and five million Leones (305,000,000) Property of Babadi Kamara.
The charges was read and explained to the accused person who pleaded not guilty.
On his first appearance, Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown matter adjourned to the 3rd of March 2022.
After the adjourned date, Deputy Superintendent of Police Isatu Gbassy Fofanah, informed the court that complainant was absent; however, failing to appear in court has stalled the Prosecution’s case.
Magistrate Sahr Kekura adjourned the matter to 7th of March, 2022.
