In an exhilarating friendly match, the Leone Stars Home Base team triumphed over a formidable squad of foreign players from the Leone Rock Premier League, clinching a 3-1 victory at the Approved School Field in Freetown.

Musa Kamara shone brightly for the Leone Stars, scoring two impressive goals, while Mohamed Kamara added another to secure the win for Coach Mohamed Kallon’s side.

This friendly encounter served as an essential opportunity for Coach Kallon to test new strategies and assess his squad in preparation for the crucial 2026 World Cup Qualifiers set for September.

Both teams displayed skill on the field, but it was Leone Stars who made a confident statement, taking a significant step forward in their development.

Looking ahead, the Sierra Leone Senior National Team, Leone Stars, will face four remaining matches in the World Cup Qualifiers, including challenges against Guinea Bissau and Ethiopia in September 2025.

Currently, Leone Stars trail Burkina Faso by two points and sit five points behind group leaders Egypt. The outcomes of the upcoming matches will be pivotal for their campaign.
