Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) has fulfilled its commitment to complying with agreement with the Government of Sierra Leone by ensuring that the railway and port facilities under its lease remain accessible to third-party users, particularly companies within the mining sector, showcasing its steady steps towards commercialization of this facility.

KRP, one of its subsidiary companies has provided access to the railway and Pepel Port for other companies. The company has demonstrated its obligation with firm action to commercialize these critical national infrastructures. With a strategic blueprint of highly commercialized modern railway and port.

Recent developments have once again demonstrated LRMG’s compliance. From February 23 to 25, 2026, large quantity of rutile ore belonging to a third-party mining company were successfully shipped through Pepel Port. The mineral was transported from a barge at the port to an offshore anchorage, highlighting the operational access granted to external users of the facility.

The shipment stands as clear evidence that the railway and port systems has been opened to other users in line with the lease agreement signed with the Government of Sierra Leone. By providing access to this, LRMG continues to support the broader mining sector and contribute to the country’s economic development.
