Isatu Marrah a suckling mother, Ramatu Turay, Mohamed Kamara, Mohamed Santigie Kamara, Abdul Kassim Komeh and Sallieu Ibrahim Kamara made another appearance before magistrate Sahr Keikura of pademba road court in Freetown on one count charge to wit using of electricity supply contrary to section 68 of the National electricity Act No. 16 of 2011.
According to the charge sheet it was alleged that on the 3rd July 2021 at black hall road the western Area in Freetown the accused Ramatu Turay, Isatu Marrah, Mohamed Kamara, Mohamed Santigie Kamara, Abdul Kassim Komeh and Sallieu Ibrahim Kamara both accused persons fraudulently used electricity supply from the electricity distribution and supply Authority (EDSA) to be diverted to the said houses within black hall road and Bai Bureh road.
The Lawyer representing all accused persons C. Pujeh told the court that the second accused person is a suckling mother and the mother and the child are seriously sick and they need medical attention.
Magistrate Keikura in his ruling granted the second accused person who is a suckling mother bail in the sum of one hundred million Leones or one surety in like sum the surety must be elderly and responsible citizen the surety should be resident in the western Area, surety should produce identification card depicting his or her address in Freetown to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar (DAR)
ASP I .S Mansaray is prosecuting the matter.
The matter was adjourned to the 23rd July 2021
