The presiding magistrate of Pademba road court No.1 Magistrate Sahr Keikura has on 20th August 2021 granted two accused persons bail for an dishonestly abstracting electricity supply.
The accused persons Musa Sillah and Imran Osman was granted bail in the sum of one hundred million Leones (100,000,000) each or one surety each in like sum.
Both sureties must be responsible citizens and they should be permanently resident in Freetown and to produce valid identification card by to be approved by the deputy assistant registrar (DAR).
The accused person are standing trials on two counts Charges ranging from dishonestly abstracting electricity supply contrary to section 68 of the national electricity Act No. 16 of 2011.
According to the charge sheet on the 27th July 2021 the accused Musa Sillah at No. 9b black hall road the western Area in Freetown Dishonestly abstract electricity supply.
And on the same date the second accused Imran Osman Kamara at Jenner Wright road the western Area in Freetown Dishonestly abstract electricity supply.
Representing the accused persons I. Fofanah adopts his previous bail application for bail on behalf of both accused persons matter adjourned to the 3rd September 2021.
In the Light magistrate Keikura also granted bail to Osman Sesay in the sum of one hundred million Leones or one surety in like sum surety must be responsible citizens and must produce valid identification card depicting his or her address in Freetown to be approved by the DAR.
Osman Sesay is standing trial on one count charge of stealing electricity cables contrary to section 74 of the National electricity Act No.6 of 2011.
According to the particulars of offence the accused Osman Sesay on the 8th June at Mount Auroel the western Area in Freetown did steal one hundred and twenty millimeters (120) cables valued three million two hundred and eighty eight thousand Leones (3,288,000) property of electricity distribution supply authority (EDSA).
Representing the accused person W.C Iloba indicated that the accused person has reliable sureties who are willing to enter into recognizance on his behalf.
Inspector I.G Fofanah is prosecuting the matter which is adjourned to the 3rd September 2021.
