Being the last contesting political party to launch a manifesto in the 2023 race for State House, the Republic National Independent Party (ReNIP) has promised that within one hundred days, Bo City where their manifesto was launched on Sunday, 18th June; five days to the Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Council elections and beyond, will be transformed to a higher height.

According to the Mayoral Candidate for Bo City, Phoebe Yambasu, Bo City as the second capital city deserves better attention than what previous administrations have provided.

She informed this medium in an exclusive interview that if she wins the Mayoral election, the party’s hybrid economic solution is going to come into play, focusing on empowering the youth in diverse ways. She said for the past two decades only one political party has occupied the seat of the Mayor of Bo City, adding that voters should consider her gender and youthfulness to put her into that enviable office for the next five years.

“Transforming the lives of our youths will be done within the shortest possible time and creating jobs for the youths and the enabling environment for businesses to thrive”, she maintained, adding that she made no mistake choosing this new party instead of the political party her grandparents belonged because of its rigid socialist concept believing that Sierra Leone is broken and they we can fix it” that is why they want to take control.

She referred to their Presidential candidate, Beresford Victor Williams as a new man who has come to take control of the situation through a hybrid economic standpoint.

Beresford Victor Williams called on Sierra Leoneans at the Coronation Field in Bo, to lend the ReNIP party their votes on Saturday so that he can quickly fix the economy by implementing reforms like downsizing the number of Cabinet Ministers to about 30 will be enforced stringently to save money for the country.

” My government will save us thousands of dollars with the reforms we are going to put in place”, he assured the crowd.

He stressed that taxation is what should underpin the shared prosperity of Sierra Leoneans noting that under his administration, people will have the culture of paying taxes to the government even the Members of Parliament who are making the laws will have to pay tax into the Consolidated Fund, he emphasized turning the entire place into jubilation.

He said the part will provide people with security and fulfilment benefits pointing out that he will make sure that workers are able to live on their wages. The reason he is proposing to increase the minimum wage of Sierra Leoneans to more than a million old Leones is that citizens should be able to look after themselves and their families out of what they are earning at the end of the month.

He said after seven decades of rising poverty and inequality, ReNIP will rebuild and transform the lives of citizens by introducing social welfare benefits system. He said our social benefits system will give social help financially to all those who are unemployed.

“We will give every citizen $ 5,000 as a Booster Allowance Grant (BAG) to bail citizens out of the economic hardship,” he further promised residents of Bo.
