LABRUM CLOTHING DONATES KITS FOR TOKYO OLYMPIC GAMES TO N.O.C

Ahead of Tokyo 2020, Labrum Clothing has on the 12th  July 2021 has donated sporting wears to the National Olympic Committee for Team Sierra Leone’s participation in the Olympics in Japan and the kits where donated by the CEO of Labrum Clothing-base in England.

The event took place at the Siaka Stevens Stadium Hostels in Freetown.

The President of the National Olympic Committee, Dr. Patrick Coker, in his statement explained that Labrum Clothing and the NOC/CGA have signed an agreement for kit and garment production for the Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games.

He announced that Labrum will also be donating some garment to the N.O.C for the Olympics Games which will be held in Tokyo in a couple of weeks’ time.

 The NOC President thanked the management of Labrum for their Good will gestures towards their athletes during their time of need.

The Minister of Sport, Hon Ibrahim Nyelenkeh, making his statement expressed some delight to the management of Labrum for their good will gestures towards the NOC and other sporting disciplines in the country; he further encouraged the athletes to represent the country well in Japan and also assured them of His Excellency’s full support towards them.

Responding to the statements of the NOC President and the Minister Of Sport, The Labrum Clothing CEO Foday Dumbuya started by thanking the NOC President and the Minister of Sport for their tremendous support towards the growth of Labrum Clothing in the country.

He also applauded the Chef de Mission of the NOC, Unisa Deen-Kargbo for doing a very good job, and assured them of Labrum’s continued support towards development of sports in Sierra Leone.

Foday Dumbuya thank  the Leone Stars Team Manager Mr. Christian Dauda for his massive support behind the scenes, the Athletes for representing the country in the Olympic and Paralympic Games and also heaped praises on the management in Sierra  Leone for their tremendous work in promoting the Labrum brand through the media.

He affirmed that after the Olympic Games in Japan his intension is to make Sierra Leonean athletes looks presentable in the International stage in terms of Sports.

The Commonwealth games will soon be hosted in Birmingham, England and the Labrum Clothing has vouched to give huge support.  Mr. Dumbuya disclosed that he has received contacts from other sporting disciples for similar, but himself and team are looking into their concerns.

 He said currently his team is working with on projects for several disciplines such as the Athletics, Handball, Sierra Leone Roll ball, swimming, etc.

Eric Fomba, the media communication officer of National Sports Authority, expressed their delight that the swimmers who had gone to the training camp in Italy had not defected but had returned home to proudly represent the country in Japan. He reaffirmed that the NSA’s position that Sports will take a different turn in the coming years

In his contribution, the Sports Ambassador of Sierra Leone, Charlie Bio thanked and appreciated the CEO of Labrum in trying to change the narrative of sport designing in Sierra Leone, and encouraged the athletes to be serious with their practices at all times and to perform well in the upcoming competition.
