Ibrahim Konomagne a Labourer made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the offences against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 24th September 2023 at Siaka Steven Street the western area in Freetown assaulted Hawa Kabba in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty.
The accused person had no legal representative and he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy. Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person, Magistrate Gogra sentenced him to twenty four months imprisonment to the male facility in Freetown while Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay prosecuted the matter.
